Orange British Academy Film Awards Nominations in 2012

How many of these nominations it can convert into wins, however, remains to be seen. Sitting comfortably at the top of the Bafta pile with 12 nominations, including one for Best Film, is Michel Hazanavicius’s silent film The Artist, which now looks increasingly unbeatable after its multiple successes at the Golden Globes on Sunday night. Tinker Tailor... is the only nominee to appear on both the Best Film and Outstanding British Film lists, so it’s likely voters will hand the domestic contender the domestic prize, and save their top award for the Oscar frontrunner.
